Following the SEVP announcement on July 6th:
We are disappointed to hear that the Trump Administration has created a new barrier for African women's pursuit of higher education by demanding that they, and their American colleges, choose between education at a distance - which protects everyone's health from the COVID pandemic - and staying in the US to continue studies.
We have reached out to our participating colleges, receiving prompt replies and assurances from most that the international teams are on this; they are doing everything possible to comply with the requirements to keep international students on campus and progressing in their studies. We will continue to follow up with each scholar and each institution until we have a firm plan for each of our scholars to move forward in her studies.
