And don't forget our other five extraordinary students as they continue in their struggles to obtain higher education.
Thandeka MpilaFrom: Swaziland
Hopes to study: Internal Medicine, Cardiology "To my country and community I would be grateful to contribute love and hope, especially to the underprivileged and vulnerable, to inspire them to reach for a brighter tomorrow, ensuring that they strive to be the best they can be in the interest of themselves, their communities, Africa and beyond." |
For 2013 we chose our top six students. Two of the ten were able to pass the TOEFL but only one successfully gained admission to a college in the US (at least one did attend college in her home country). This is not an easy task, and we commend every one of them for their tremendous efforts!
Your donations helped give these students the opportunity they deserved, and a chance to make a better life for themselves, their families, and their communities. Thank you!
